Eastern Sierra Camping Trip 4

We ordered a whole pie at the "Pie in the Sky Cafe".
The pie is known as sooooo good.

The whole pie cost $42 plus tax..........WOW.   It made me regret that we spent that much money for just a pie......
We picked up the pie, and tried before our hike.
It was incredibly good. I could eat a whole all by myself.
Yummy pie is all gone

Eastern Sierra Camping Trip 1

Leaving home 6hours after we were planning to.
Destination is Rock Creek Lake, CA.
July 29 11:30 AM
 Lunch Break at Lone Pine.
2:30PM
After 5hours of drive, here we are at Rock Creek Lake camp site.
It is smoky due to the fire.

4:30PM
This campsite is all walk-ins.  First come, first serve.
There were still several sites to choose from when we got there.

Our place.  Nice "bear box" (brown box in the middle) keeps our food safe from wild animals.

Roasting (burning) marshmallows after dinner.

The first night was really cold!
